What should students expect from your class?
I teach an alignment-based practice of movement and breath that is challenging yet accessible – a flow that is dynamic, strong and fluid. I also love the power that an amazing playlist can add to every class!
About Me
Physical Movement has always been where I’ve felt the most at home and free- a form of self-expression that helps me find truth and explore parts of myself otherwise hidden. When I started my yoga practice I realized the opportunity to connect even more deeply with the intimate wisdom of the physical body and the heart through stillness and through breath. I teach an alignment-based practice of movement and breath that is challenging yet accessible – a flow that is dynamic, strong and fluid with lots of opportunity to get rooted through the hands and play upside down. I believe growth comes from the willingness to challenge ourselves and experience things that take us outside of our comfort zone. Transformation occurs when we bravely step into the unknown and allow ourselves to be open, vulnerable and free. I am humbled and inspired everyday I get to teach, everyday I get to share space and watch courageous yogis go deep into themselves and realize their own amazing limitless potential. I have been teaching since 2006 and practicing for nearly 20 years. I am amazingly humbled by the limitless opportunity this practice and teaching provides.
Deepest gratitude to all the amazing people who have inspired me along the way. Special thanks to my teachers Ryan Leier, Dustin Fruson, Srivatsa Ramaswami, Mike Nichol, Suzanne Slocum-Gori, Christine Price Clark, Rachel Scott, Jasmina Egeler and Esak Garcia.
“I want to be brave enough to always try – even if I fail and fall – and to have the courage to rise again. My yoga practice provides a safe space where I can play in the unknown- where I can connect with what is real- here and now, and delve into that deeper part of myself that is true and ever steady.”

What should students expect from your class?
Expect a warm, inclusive environment in which to focus, connect with your body, get sweaty, and maybe even have a bit of a laugh!
About Me
I discovered yoga through community classes in a tiny resort town in New Zealand, and immediately fell in love with the practice. As a travelling professional snowboard bum I spent the next 10 years practicing yoga in whatever form I could find, in whatever ski resort town I was living at the time.
At first yoga was just a physical complement to the snowboarding, skiing, running, dance, and other activities in my life, but it soon became clear that the mindful aspects of the practice were equally impactful. With this revelation began a lifelong journey of curiosity, learning, and personal growth, through my yoga practice.
I am passionate about creating warm, welcoming spaces for people to connect and find joy and grounding, while also challenging themselves to be curious and open to growth. I am so grateful to be continuously learning from my own teachers, which empowers me to provide a safe and inclusive environment within my classes, while not taking myself too seriously!

What should students expect from your class?
Students can expect a safe space to explore on their own and a challenge to step out of their comfort zone.
About Me
In 2013, I stepped onto my yoga mat for the first time and I felt something transformational. I continued to practice consistently to better grasp this particular feeling called mindfulness. By applying mindfulness to daily life, I found myself to be more grounded, present, and calm between moments of chaos and joy.
I enjoyed practicing a few different styles of yoga and eventually, I pursued my yoga teacher training with Yyoga in Vancouver, BC. My passion for health, wellness, and yoga have allowed me to connect with many like-minded souls and has brought me much fulfillment in life.
I apply my training in vinyasa, hot yoga, yin, and meditation to my daily practice and my classes. In my classes, you will find a balance of building strength, flexibility, and a balance of yin and yang energy. I guide my classes through dynamic movements with alignment-based cueing and some helpful hands-on adjustments. My goal is to help students build physical strength, gain flexibility, and guide students on discovering their own path of finding mindfulness in their practice.

What should students expect from your class?
I think of the yoga practice as a journey that balances structure and fluidity.
About Me
My practice began about 20 years ago. Years of competitive sports had me wound so tight that it took nearly a year to touch my toes. There was an immediate shift in my hamstrings, but the far more profound shift in my whole being was what hooked me. Yoga is magic. After nearly a decade of practice, I pursued her first teacher training program in Costa Rica, with the intention of deepening my personal practice and having an extended vacation from a demanding finance career. The rest is history.
I credit the depth of my practice and love of yoga to the many esteemed teachers I have studied with over the years, particularly Annie Carpenter, Schuyler Grant, Nikki Villela, Carrie Owerko, and Abbie Galvin. My teaching is also informed and inspired by Functional Movement Systems. I teach public classes in Vancouver, and workshops, trainings, and retreats all over the world. I also offer virtual classes through my online platform, Movement Method, with my co-founder Matt Phippen of Los Angeles.

What should students expect from your class?
Expect story telling, joy and humour along with some unique approaches to keep things fresh and challenging.
About Me
I started turning upside-down in my living room as a teenager, never realizing what I was doing was Yoga. Many years later, after being a total gym rat, I found Yoga in a small beach town in Mexico and that was that. Juggling a busy career as a performer and a family, I was in a constant state of anxiety. Yoga brought me to a place where I could cope and eventually I was able to share my discoveries as an instructor. I am grateful every day for the ability to connect with my students and explore with them.

What should students expect from your class?
High energy with proper form & proper yoga etiquette.
About Me
I am an avid outdoor enthusiast. I was introduced to hot yoga by my girlfriend who knew that I love to take up any physical challenge. I started practicing hot yoga in 2002 and there was no turning back. After two years of consistent practice, I decided to take my teacher training in 2004. I found persistent practice helped me recover from a bicycle accident and also a hip replacement surgery. My choice of service is to help others and I want to share the gifts of this powerful practice with as many people as possible and inspire them to be better yogis! I have also completed Core 40 training, hot Pilates, Yin yoga training and in an effort to become a better teacher.

What should students expect from your class?
Expect to be challenged as I emphasize breath and alignment to create a safe place for you to explore the mind-body connection and playfully make shapes with your body.
About Me
My practice and teaching are rooted in the Ashtanga and Iyengar traditions, placing intentional focus on breath and alignment. My offerings flow from the belief that yoga is an all-encompassing experience and serves as a moving meditation of openness, cleansing, and healing for the mind, body, and spirit. The combination of my dance background, passion for yoga, and innate desire to share this knowledge has been a powerful catalyst fueling my aspiration to teach yoga.
I completed my 200-Hour YTT and YHot Training in 2018 and 2019, and have been teaching ever since. Yoga has become my anchor, connecting me to life, breath, and self-awareness. It continues to teach me to move past the discomfort through acceptance and perseverance, leading to inner strength, grounding, and peace. In my classes, you can expect a playful yet challenging practice that allows students to cultivate confidence while exploring the mind-body connection. Guiding others in this empowering practice feels like a daily blessing, and I aim to create more space in the lives of those around me, as together, we find balance within.

What should students expect from your class?
Expect to find the balance between strength and ease with insightful alignment cues and inspiring options for all levels.
About Me
I first stepped onto my mat in a hot yoga room to develop a consistent fitness routine. A few years later, I discovered YYoga and its many offerings, and immediately connected with the Hatha practice. I enjoyed the refined hold in each posture that allowed me to tune into my body, breath, and mind. I decided to deepen my knowledge and practice by signing up for the 200-hour YTT at YYoga, and was fortunate enough to be under the guidance of Jasmina Egeler and Kate Gillespie. Today, I bring my passion for the Hatha practice to students in various community centres and studios. I believe that yoga is for everyone and every body, so join me on the mat and enjoy steady breaths and mindful movements.
