What should students expect from your class?
A well-rounded physical sequence that targets all the major areas of the body, with lots of options and a wee bit of yoga philosophy mixed in.
About Me
Hi! My name is Reith and I am a trauma-informed yoga teacher on the stolen land of the Coast Salish peoples, in what we now call ‘Vancouver.’ Yoga has been a part of my life since I was a youth, and the practice has been my steadiest companion throughout periods of depression, celebration, and everything in between. In 2023, I completed a 200hr teacher training with the amazing trainers at YYOGA, and a trauma-informed training through Yoga Outreach. My goal as a teacher is to create a welcoming, non-judgemental environment where everyone from beginners to experienced practitioners can experience moments of a calm mind through focus on breath, sensation, and eye gaze. The power of yoga to regulate our nervous systems and make friends with our bodies is such an incredible tool and it is my deepest honour and privilege to share this ancient South Asian practice with others.

What to expect from your classes?
An opportunity to slow down, pause and connect to yourself. I will guide students through a class with different asanas, mindful breath and space for self-enquiry.
About Me
My passion for movement led me to become a student of yoga in 2015. After practicing yoga for several years and first teaching Les Mills Body Balance, I trained to become a teacher of Power yoga in 2020, a style of vinyasa inspired by Baron Baptiste. As well as a dynamic Asana practice, I routinely benefit from the restorative experiences of yin and yoga nidra, and completed training to be able to share these practices with students too. Movement and creating energetic shifts has been a true form of medicine for me and I’m excited to welcome students onto their mats and support them in tuning into their own needs to truly feel the best version of themselves. Beyond the Asana practice, I feel the practice of yoga gives us an opportunity to grow and evolve, to create more conscious connection to ourselves and others, and live life more mindfully.

What should students expect from your class?:
An easeful and kinesthetic practice supporting self-study.
About Me
I completed my 200-Hour YTT and 50-Hour Yin YTT in 2023 with YYOGA, and am joyful to be able to share Yoga with all. In the 2010’s while completing my Kinesiology degree, I started practicing Yoga daily and quickly experienced the physical benefits which helped balance my body. The Yin practice opened a connection to my inner self and helped me understand the value of rest and stillness. I love my days living and working in the Kitsilano neighbourhood, and am grateful for the people in my life. If I am not around the studio, I am likely on my way out to enjoy Beautiful BC. See you on the mat!

What should students expect from your class?
Students can expect challenging, yet accessible; all levels classes, blending traditional and modern modalities. I offer a functional and mindful practice, utilizing alignment principles, breath-work and meditation techniques. Incorporating science and spirituality to cultivate the potential for ability, equanimity and grace.
About Me
Movement, discipline, art and nature have been pillars for me since early childhood and greatly influence me as a yoga teacher. Royal Academy of Dance classical ballet training began for me at the age of four and continued for over a decade; at which point I discovered and fell in love with Hip Hop. Having the good fortune to spend time and study in New York, I immersed myself in street art, especially dance. I spent more than two decades training/competing in and teaching hip-hop, breaking and freestyle dance. I began practicing yoga in 2000 as a supplement to my work; and by 2005 I was hooked. Through my own studies and attending workshops I became deeply committed to and passionate about yoga; and completed my formal teacher training. My style of yoga is rooted in: Iyengar, Vinyasa and Anusara traditions; with great influence from The Franklin MethodTM. My work as an artist in film/photography, music, writing, painting and textiles, no doubt influences my teaching style. In yoga, as in art, I am drawn to authenticity, space, balance and humility. I immigrated to British Columbia from Ireland; and both places have instilled in me a love of nature; which I bring to my teaching through imagery and meditation.

What should students expect from your class?
Show up as you are, work with what you’ve got, be present with this moment and this breath, tap deeply into who you really are at the centre of your being, and play from that place!
About Me
I started my yoga journey 20 years ago, and never looked back! I have a background in studio management and yoga therapy, and believe in weaving technical and spiritual layers together for an impactful and awakening experience on the mat. We all come to yoga on different days and at different times for varied reasons, and I deeply believe in supporting the collective in their journey and holding space for “all the things”, as they are! My classes are powerful, deeply supportive, and encourage continual growth.
