What should students expect from your class?
Yoga practiced from the inside out.
My first exposure to yoga was in 2003. My PhD studies were stressful and I thought yoga could help me relax. Doing “cirque du soliel” moves with Eoin Finn and 60 other people in a little room may not sound relaxing (especially not these days!), yet it was just what I needed.
My insatiable curiosity has taken me places. From Russia to Japan. From triathlons to daily meditations. From non-profits to the government. Now a restoration ecologist, my job is to save the world (more specifically, to save the plants and animals in Canada’s national parks). And, since 2008, teaching yoga has been a rudder through my life’s winding path.
Teaching yoga encourages me to move through the world with my “antennas up”, receiving inspiration for classes in life’s poignant moments. Plus, the anatomy and philosophy feeds my inner geek. I am a teacher who will listen and tailor the class for you. The most magic words for me to hear from students after a class are “that was just what I needed”.
