Online Training

Virtual spots may be available. The 100% online format requires a minimum of 6 students to run.

All students must complete 25 practice classes, 10 observation classes, and assignments in all three modules to successfully graduate.

At the heart of our teaching philosophy is the belief that yoga education is about empowering our students and encouraging their exploration within a safe, supportive and inspired environment.

With a comprehensive curriculum rooted in tools and techniques that illuminate classical elements with a modern lens, you’ll enjoy a structure that gives you the knowledge you need in a way that’s digestible, accessible – and most importantly, fun!

You’ll cover fundamentals like safe and creative cuing, vocal and physical presence, linking movement with breath, and the philosophical foundations of the practice. You’ll also learn about what many yoga schools don’t teach you — how to sequence to a peak pose creatively, and how to apply anatomy to asana to confidently set your students up for a safe practice. You’ll both experience these skills modeled for you and get to practice amongst close friends and community.

Upon Course Completion

Our 200-hour yoga teacher training is Yoga Alliance Certified. Yoga Alliance’s mission is to work in the public interest to ensure that there is a confidence in the quality and consistency of instruction, thorough understanding of the benefits of yoga and that the teachers of yoga value its history and traditions.

All students, alumni and current YYOGA teachers get access to our private teacher training group to stay virtually connected.

“YYOGA’s 200 hr online teacher training program is fun, accessible and convenient. I found the course to be thorough and appropriate for students looking to deepen their own practice as well for those who are ready to take the first step towards a career in teaching.  The instructors at YYOGA are among the very best. Mari, Jasmina and Jayme’s combined experience and high levels of professionalism made the course thoroughly enjoyable and challenging, integrating Yoga theory and philosophy into a solid foundation of human anatomy and physical practice. This program gave me an opportunity to meet amazing people, improve my physical and mental well being and opened a door into the next phase of my professional journey”.  – Chris Urae, RMT, Counsellor, Yogi

“Thank you very much for this wonderful opportunity to complete the training! It was honestly one of the best experiences that I’ve ever had! Completing YTT had been one of my goals and I am very grateful that I was able to accomplish this especially during these challenging times, which made this experience even more memorable.  And we are the very first group that completed the training online! Words aren’t enough to express how much I appreciate YYOGA, the amazing teachers – Jasmina, Mari, Jayme, Katrina, Kelly and beautiful yogis who completed this course together. Thank you!” – Megumi Kawamura

“I remember when I was searching up “Vancouver yoga teacher trainings” as I wanted to better myself and level up my skills in life and YYOGA was one of the first studios that came up. I’ve been practicing here for years so it just made sense that I chose this program. The beginning stages were a nice intro, but it wasn’t until the online portion where I really developed a deeper understanding of yoga. The pandemic put a big hold on the program and we weren’t sure if it was going to continue or how it would continue when it started. But I’m so glad it did!! There’s something so different about learning online than in person. I felt like the information sank in more, whether it was the organized little boxes in the breakout rooms or getting to roll out of bed and onto my laptop. I definitely liked the convenience! Jasmina, Mari, and Jayme are such knowledgeable teachers and helped make all of this possible. Though it would have been nice to see each other in person near the end, we had to follow guidelines and still made it work! I never knew how much people can actually bond on a computer screen. I am so excited to start this new journey of yoga with a new found knowledge and hope to meet/practice/teach with my new community in the future!” – Alexei Geronimo

“Rachel is a masterful teacher. The teaching methodology, the course content and its delivery made for a wholly complete learning experience. There was an excellent balance with the learning and teaching, layering that supported being wholly prepared when the program completed. Rachel has an extraordinary talent in creating and delivering a teaching module that ensures the success of its students.” — Caren Cook

“The 200-Teacher Training was fabulous. The instructors were knowledgeable, kind, experienced, a wealth of information. The course material was very well done, thorough, thoughtful and complete. The layout of the course was really well done. As a high school teacher in my past life and understanding how organize curriculum. I was VERY impressed with the course. An excellent balance, excellent pacing, really well done.” — Kristen C.

“My learning experience, although intensive, as the name foretold, was one I would take over and over again. Despite the monumental amounts of information being taught, every section was clearly identified and eloquently delivered. So much so, that even though there was an enormous wealth of knowledge to be understood before our final, I found myself not having to study much as I had already retained every bit of information. Rachel is a genius!” — Hannah Todd
