We recommend wearing workout clothes you can stretch, move and sweat in.

You will need a mat for all classes. We also recommend you bring a mat towel for heated classes, or if you find you get extra sweaty during your practice.Mats & towels are available to rent from the studio for a fee. 

Shared props are available for all classes. You can also bring your own or purchase them from our boutique if you prefer.

Please arrive at least 10 – 15 minutes early to settle in as classes begin right on time. Once a class has started we’re unable to accommodate late entry.

First, please make sure that you have been cleared by your doctor to practice yoga. 

Although yoga is beneficial for healing, note that some styles are quite vigorous and may not be ideal for when you’re returning after an injury. We recommend starting off with gentle, slower-paced classes such as Gentle Hatha, Hatha, or Restorative. Yin may be a good choice so long as your injury is not joint-related.

The minimum age to attend any class style WITH a parent/legal guardian is age 12.

The minimum age to attend any class style WITHOUT a parent/legal guardian is 15. However, if you are under the age of 19, have a parent or legal guardian review and sign the electronic waiver when you create your online account. You can practice on your own once you have a waiver signed by your parent/guardian.

We have infrared saunas at our Downtown Flow, Kitsilano, Northshore Elements & Richmond studios. Use of the sauna is included in unlimited membership. You can also use a class from your Class Pack or purchase a Single Class.

Bring water and a towel, wear yoga clothing or a towel wrap, and limit your use to 20 minutes.  For more information on infrared heat and the benefits, read through our blog post.

Special Classes are experiential and meant to elevate your practice through a unique theme thoughtfully designed by your teacher. These classes could include live music, candlelight, have a focus on a specific body part and many more unique themes! 

Special Classes are included with your YYOGA membership.  You can use a class on your Class Pack or purchase a Single Class if you don’t have a membership.

• Our classes and packs activate upon purchase.  Single Classes expire after 3 months, our Starter Pack expires after 1 month, and our regular 5 & 10 Class Packs expire after 6 months.  Promotional pack expiry may differ – check before purchasing!
• You can practice at any YYOGA location with our classes and packs.
• They are not eligible for refund, transfer, hold or extension.

• No!  Walk-in guests are welcomed if space allows.  Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class if you are a new guest or need to purchase a pass.

• We recommend reserving in advance as many classes reach capacity.
• Reservations are only available online.
• Reservations open 7 days in advance and close 30 minutes before the start of class. Member Perk: book 14 days in advance if you are on a Month to Month or Annual Membership!
• You must arrive on time (or early) for class to guarantee your spot.  Once a class has started we’re unable to accommodate late entry.

Reserving a spot for your friend is easy!  If you have an unlimited membership, you receive guest credits each month or year depending on your membership type. Our Class Packs can be shared!

• Select your preferred class and book yourself in!
• Select the same class.  Under “Reserve for” just select “Guest”.
• Add your friend’s email and we’ll notify them of your invitation.

When you’re on the waitlist, if a spot becomes available with more than 2.5 hours notice, you’ll be automatically added to class and notified by email and SMS. Our cancellation policy applies so be sure to cancel your waitlist spot if you can no longer attend.

If you don’t attend a class that you’ve reserved for or you do not cancel at least 2 hours before class starts, your class will be deducted from your account if you’re on a Class Pack or Single Class or you’ll be charged a $15 + tax fee to your credit card on file if you’re an unlimited member.

Simply log in to your account, find the class on your schedule and select “cancel”.

No. We ask that guests please cancel at least 2 hours before class starts to avoid losing a class. 

It means you’ve missed the booking window for the class (which is only available until 30 minutes before the class starts for in studio classes). If the class is full, you’ll have the option to join the waitlist.

Month-to-Month Memberships can be cancelled at any time.   Please note that you will lose your loyalty pricing, and will be subject to current rates if you re-join at a later date.

Prepaid Passes & Memberships are non-refundable.  However, if you are moving, have been instructed by a doctor to stop practicing, or are within 10 days of your initial purchase, please contact us. 

Concerned that you’re not getting the best value for how often you come to class? You may not need to cancel! We’re always open to chatting about your membership and can help you make a shift to better serve your schedule and maintain your practice.

To cancel in-person, simply visit any YYOGA location and speak to our front desk staff. 

To cancel online, kindly fill out this form and allow 72 hours notice to ensure your cancellation if processed before payment goes through.

Please note that upon submitting your cancellation request you will lose your loyalty pricing, and will be subject to current rates if you re-join at a later date. 

Need a little bit of time off from your membership? No worries, we get it!

Month to Month and Annual memberships are eligible for up to 6 months of holds per calendar year. The minimum duration we will put a membership on hold is 1 week. This policy is subject to reasonable limits as set by YYOGA.

Holds can be placed with the front desk staff in studio or contact us here. We aim to process hold requests as quickly as possible, but it may take up to 72 hours to process your hold.  Holds cannot be backdated so please provide as much notice as possible so you do not lose time on your membership.

Digital gift cards can be purchased online and emailed directly to the recipient immediately upon purchase. They’re valid for passes, memberships, and retail.

If you would like to purchase a YYOGA at Home subscription as a gift, you can do so here. YYOGA at Home gifts are only valid for subscriptions and cannot be applied towards studio services or retail.

Gift Cards cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Please treat your gift card like cash.

You can purchase individual digital gift cards directly on our site that you can email to your employees. Or if you do not need names on the gift cards, and would prefer we help you to make one large purchase of multiple gift cards, please Contact Us and we can help you with your purchase.

Yes!  We offer info sessions, where you can meet our trainers and learn about our upcoming trainings.  The best thing to do is to sign up to be alerted when they’re running!

We welcome students of all levels in our teacher trainings! Veteran students will dive deeper into their own practice, and newer students will establish a solid foundation in their own skills.  While we expect all practitioners to have a thoughtful practice, you do not need to be able to perform complicated asana. A commitment to your practice is all you need! 

Students should be able to understand English and be capable of physically participating in the program for which they are applying. If you are working with an injury, please contact us or book a call with our Programming Coordinator to discuss your options, as this may be a barrier to your experience.

The minimum age to attend the training is 17 years old, but you must have permission from your parent or legal guardian.

The 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training can be paid in full up-front, or by module (there are 3 modules). If you choose to pay per module, payment must be made before the start of each module. Check out the “Investment” portion of our Teacher Training page to learn more.

We are excited to also announce that we are now offering bursaries for up to 50% of the cost of the full program. If you would like to apply for a bursary, click here for the application.

If YYOGA cancels a training for any reason, you will receive a full refund.

If you must cancel, our refund policy is based on how much notice you can provide.

• If you withdraw before the start of the training, you will receive a full refund, minus your registration fee.
• If you withdraw before 50% of the program or module is complete, you will receive a 50% refund.
• If you withdraw after 50% of the program or module is complete, no refund will be issued.
• You must withdraw in writing.

The $150 non-refundable registration fee is included in the program cost and applies for each 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training module, Yin training and YHot training.
