Classes
What should students expect from your class?
Students will breath, elongate, sculpt, strengthen, and stretch in this multi-level low impact Mat Pilates/Ballet Sculpt movement sequence.
About Me
Emily is a proud mother of three and lifelong teacher. She has a Bachelors of Education and taught as a BC School Teacher for over 20 years.
Emily trained as a ballet dancer into her teenage years, took up long distance running as a young adult, and skate skiing in her thirties. Emily found Pilates in 2009 after suffering a back injury. She fell in love with the Pilates System and studied to become a Certified Comprehensive Pilates Instructor through Balanced Body Education. She teaches on the Reformer and Pilates Apparatus Equipment, as well as Mat Pilates and Floor Barre Pilates.
Emily found Yoga in 2022 when she began teaching Pilates at a Yoga studio. She appreciated the profound mind-to-body connection the practice provided. She studied with YYoga and now teaches YHot Yoga.
Emily is known for her strong understanding of anatomy, concise cueing and foundation first teaching. Clients report her classes being “flowy” with layers that make them challenging.
