YYOGA is looking for a bright, driven and keen marketing champion to join our team.

This role supports execution of our marketing strategy and storytelling calendar and will have influence and ownership over projects and tasks related to community building, content scheduling/deployment and in-studio campaign execution.

As this role supports the overall department, we’re looking for a generalist; an egoless, good natured, enthusiastic person keen to learn, develop and grow their skills within marketing and multimedia as they’re supported by our team.

THE SPECIFICS:

You’ll join the marketing team’s mission to acquire, retain/engage and win back guests through execution of our integrated channel strategies. Tasks could include any of the below, but will ebb and flow based on our priorities and may be influenced by the candidates experience:

Marketing Campaign Execution and Administration:

  • Manage the administration of the marketing team general email inbox and filter/reply where necessary.
  • Ensure our campaigns are executed correctly in studio by preparing directions for studio teams and managing things like delivery of collateral and other materials/tools required for execution (couriers, etc)
  • Manage print requests to vendors and submission of invoices
  • Be the main point of contact for our Operations department for questions related to in-studio campaign execution, including tracking action items for studio leadership and ensuring completion
  • Support the approval process of in-studio signage created in Canva, maintaining brand consistency and quality standards
  • Support the Senior Content & Creative Specialist (SCCS) in ensuring the studios are up to brand standards with accurate communication focuses
  • Execute recurring marketing tasks related to yyoga.ca, including updating teacher profiles, YYOGA at Home release content, event listings, blog posts, and more.
  • Growth opportunity: we’d ideally like to train you to do basic design tasks related to studio signage

Community Marketing

  • Drive execution of our community outreach and events plan, working to acquire new guests and introduce YYOGA to new audiences. This might include:
    • Boldly going out into our local neighbourhoods to share more about YYOGA, using our tools and tactics to drive new guests into our studios while you also coach and mentor studio leadership on how to do the same
    • Act as a connector in the community by nurturing important brand partnerships that add value and expose YYOGA to new audiences, translating these partnerships to tactical activities such as special experiences and surprise and delights for our guests.
  • Take ownership of the yyoga.ca blog ‘Off the Mat’ to ensure it accurately reflects our community initiatives.
  • Support with identification of strategic partners (including content creators) and nurture / cultivate these relationships, looking for strategic opportunities to raise YYOGA’s profile through awareness driving tactics.
  • Own the execution of our social impact / giving program including brief submission, channel execution and cross-functional preparedness. Manage relationships with giving partners. Filter, manage and execute donation requests.
  • Support new locations with grand opening support, on-site presence, location announcement content and community outreach support as needs are identified to ensure our franchise partners are set up for success.

Social Media

  • Responsible for content scheduling/deployment for all channels and any administrative work required for our channels to function smoothly
  • Work with our team to create dynamic, engaging, and entertaining social content to support our brand calendar.
  • Represent our personality by discovering new ways to showcase the people behind YYOGA, including regular partnerships with our Guest Experience team and teachers.
  • Champion efforts to engage our community by building and incorporating a library of UGC.

YYOGA at Home:

  • We’d like this role to support YYOGA at Home content production and video editing and provide on-the-job training to execute these tasks. This will include deployment of new classes and promotional content on channels like Vimeo OTT and social.
  • You’ll take this class and teacher content and intelligently distill it across our social channels, leveraging our library and finding new ways to share it with our community.
  • You’ll join us in cultivating positive relationships with our teachers, representing our team within the teaching community

Other duties may be assigned, especially as we assess what skillsets the candidate has to contribute and understand their areas of special interest.

Future Growth Opportunities: While this role will come with on-the-job training related to production and editing tasks, there’s endless opportunity with our in-house film studio so we’re looking for someone who is excited by this and looking to actively influence and contribute to our content and social activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Relevant post secondary education or equivalent on-the-job work experience
  • Experience or interest in learning programs like Adobe Creative Cloud, Mailchimp, Asana & WordPress
  • Ability to demonstrate past experience creating/producing effective social media content
  • Growth mindset
  • Clear and effective communicator & copywriter
  • Excellent attention to detail
