International Yoga Day – Special Classes

International Yoga Day is just around the corner and to celebrate we’re hosting a Special Class at each of our studios!

Join us on June 21st to reconnect to yourself and your practice in these fun-filled classes. Whether you’re a seasoned yogi or a beginner, all levels are welcome. Class registration opens 14-days in advance, you won’t want to miss them.

Special Class 60: International Yoga Day – Flow with Lyndsay Carr

Time: 9:15 – 10:15 am | Location: Kitsilano

Bringing individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and nations together to celebrate and practice yoga. It serves as a platform for people and communities to experience the benefits of yoga for mental and physical health and understand its impact on personal and societal well-being. This Flow class will encourage mindfulness, get the body moving and will cultivate a sense of harmony and inner peace.

Special Class 60: International Yoga Day – Flow with Jean Hu

Time: 10:30 – 11:30 am | Location: Richmond Olympic Oval

Learn poses that will benefit your body and improve your daily mindful movement practice. Jean will guide you through this celebration flow class to increase strength, flexibility, and relaxation helping you integrate functional movement into your practice and everyday life. Come ready to explore and celebrate this important day!

Special Class 75: International Yoga Day – Gentle Hatha with Rebecca Lee Henderson

Time: 6:30 – 7:45 m | Location: Richmond Olympic Oval

Beginning with a classical Hatha practice, exploring Patanjali’s yoga sutras through asana, breath, and meditation. Transition into a gentle Yin, focusing on stretching and releasing connective tissue. Conclude with a beautiful Sound Bath Savasana, where the soundscapes of crystal bowls and koshi chimes carry you into a state of deeply restorative relaxation.

Special Class 75: International Yoga Day – Yin with Amanda Brooks

Time: 7:00 – 8:15 pm | Location: Northshore Elements

This is a great opportunity to bring awareness to the many advantages of practicing yoga in all its forms. Amanda will guide you through a Yin & Mediation practice that will allow you to explore your breath, connect with your body, and bring in the summer celebrating this very special day!

Special Class 75: International Yoga Day – Yin with Sandra Stephanson

Time: 7:00 – 8:15 pm | Location: Downtown Flow

In this class, you will explore and celebrate the benefits of the yoga practice and the freedom to be oneself and to connect with the community.
