As a student, yoga therapist, and teacher, Shivani is fascinated by neurophysiology, embodiment, mindfulness, and holistic mental health. She aims to support her students in discovering that their own bodies are a resource for healing, and insight. Shivani is a certified yoga therapist, in private practice since 2008, and is a graduate student in counselling psychology. She has conducted research on yoga and meditation for brain injury with UBC Psychiatry, and she continues to be interested in how embodied mindfulness can help us heal.
