On the Mat:
Nikki entered her first yoga class in 2005, and has since had the privilege of practicing in numerous studios in Canada, Europe, Latin America and the United States.
She applies her advanced training and background in working with corporate clients, domestic violence survivors, seniors, youth and clients with mental and physical disabilities.
She is very grateful for the insights and centering abilities of her teachers Ashley Rideaux, YuMee Chung, YYoga influencers, students and her amazing family and friends.
Nikki received her 200 hour teaching certification from YogaWorks, a Yoga Alliance registered school based out of Los Angeles, California. Additionally, she completed a 30 hour practicum with YuMee Chung and a 30 hour YHot training with YYoga in Toronto, Ontario.
Off the Mat:
Nikki is a mountain girl at heart, hailing from Fort Collins, Colorado.
She has worked in art administration, community engagement, public policy and event management. She has lead national projects for numerous clients, such as Canadian National Defence Public Affairs Office, Liu Institute of Global Issues, Peroni, and Neubacher Shor Contemporary.
Nikki currently is a Project Lead for the Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
What should students expect from your class? I work to create a safe, welcoming and encouraging environment in all my classes. Sensitive to my clients' needs, I offer clear and safe cueing, smart sequencing and hands on adjustments when appropriate.
