Darcie's own yoga practice has been a powerful centering force in her life. Her passion for yoga grew over the course of a decade, eventually leading her to leave her career on Bay St. in order to fully pursue teaching yoga.
Darcie's classes are often energetic, explorative and fun. She teaches with lightness and humour while also conveying her deep respect for the meditative, philosophical and restorative aspects of the yoga tradition.
Darcie's interest in anatomy and biomechanics leads her to constantly look for new ways to both challenge and address the needs of her students. She often integrates components of different yoga and movement modalities into her classes. As a mom of two with certification in pre/postnatal yoga, Darcie feels particularly comfortable teaching women during and after pregnancy.
Darcie completed her 200hr training and a mentor ship at Yyoga and additionally completed a 300hr Advanced Teacher Training, as well as trainings in Restorative Yoga and Pre/Postnatal Yoga at Octopus Garden Yoga Center. She has also studied Biomechanics and Energetics with Jules Mitchell.What should students expect from your class? Darcie’s classes are energetic, explorative and fun.
