Daniel was drawn to Vancouver from Ottawa for his love of the ocean and mountains. As a rock climbing, surfing, ski and snowboard enthusiast, he has a deep passion for the outdoors and being present in the moment. Teaching has been a way of life for Daniel since he was a teenager, as he became an avid Level 2 Snowboard and Ski Instructor in Western Quebec. Unlike the powder filled slopes of Western Canada, the icy slopes back East took a great toll on Daniel’s knees. He was introduced to yoga as a means of cross training for rock climbing to help with flexibility and stamina. However, it was the rehabilitative physical benefits from yoga that helped heal years of injuries from playing soccer, tennis, rugby, and beach volleyball. He fell in love with the focus on breath and meditation to overcome moments of fear while rock climbing or surfing. His daily yoga practice led to teaching yoga in 2011. A year later, he started teaching group fitness to offer high intensity, yoga inspired, core dominant workouts that are both challenging, safe and most of all a BLAST!
What should students expect from your class? Classes improve body mobility by focusing on strengthening people’s muscles to perform simple daily activities with more ease and efficiency. Warning…this class will foster a sense of community that will get you making friends with others who come to share jaw dropping challenging, fun, safe, sweaty and ever evolving routines that are backed by high bpm current and retro tunes.
