What should students expect from your class?

I teach an anatomy focused practice which encourages students to mindfully and playfully, engage with their body without judgment.

About Me

I have been teaching and instructing yoga and pilates in Whistler for almost 20 years. I have trained in various yoga styles including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Restorative and Yin. I owned and operated Yama Yoga studio for 5 years during which time I also taught several Yoga Alliance approved Teacher Training Courses. Since closing my studio, I have been teaching at YYoga. As of last year, I completed my Masters in Counselling and am now a Registered Clinical Counsellor.

One of my best attributes is my ability to teach multiple levels of yoga within the same class. My vast experience and training in anatomy allow me to comfortably teach using detailed and precise cues while also creating a safe, fun and supportive environment. I teach with the intention to help heal and support those with various injuries and ailments. I am best known for Core Fusion; a style in which I combine both yoga and pilates, with the primary focus being on engaging the muscles that support the core. Regardless of the type of class, I connect with my students in a humorous way, with a light-hearted intention helping them get the most from my practice physically, mentally and spiritually while encouraging them not to take themselves or life too seriously.
