Cole "Dragao" Manson, was raised in White Rock, BC, where it all started when he began training martial arts at age 5, then teaching classes at age 16. There he opened his first martial arts academy at age 20, before moving to Whistler in 2002 to open his second school, the Whistler Martial Arts Centre.
In 2012 he became the Co-founder of Awesome Arts Academy, his third school. Shortly after that he opened his fourth one called Gracie Barra in Squamish.
Cole's work focus is on teaching yoga and martial arts. Besides that he enjoys being out in nature, listening to and making music, all kinds of art, short films, performing and participating in various film and music festivals. He's a dedicated yoga practitioner and long time snowboarder, sk8r and surfer. Cole is also the former Canadian Air Guitar Champion(Johnny Utah)...Yup!
He spends most weekends in Vancouver training with his teachers and classmates and travels often for competitions, seminars and graduation celebrations.
Cole says - "Teaching the arts and passing on the traditions and techniques has become more than just a job, it's a lifestyle. I will alway be a student, but teaching has called me and I have chosen to serve."
