Born in Kanagawa, Japan. Met Yoga in 2003, Ayumi felt great after taking her first yoga class, and knew that this is her path. In 2006, she moved to Vancouver, Canada and started to practice yoga regularly. Since she took her first yoga teacher training in 2008, Ayumi has completed trainings in various styles of yoga, meditation and traditional Thai massage. Ayumi’s aim is to maintain a healthy body & mind connection, sense of well-being with regular yoga and meditation practice. Through the path she has learned deeper appreciation for nature and the gifts she received in her life. This understating has been guiding her life with ease and joy, ultimately leading to her self-healing. Ayumi offers various levels and styles of yoga classes to share her knowledge and experience to guide students to find their truth, health and happiness.
What should students expect from your class? I have been a student of yoga for 10 years, and it always surprises me every time I come to my mat or on a seat of meditation, how much mindful practice bring ease, strength and joy to our body and mind. I share my knowledge and practice with my students, with body alignment focused sequencing, make it accessible to all levels with sweet verbal and hands-on adjustment.
