WHY THIS PROGRAM?
Ten years ago YYOGA was founded with the intention of making the world a better place through the practice of yoga and with the power of mindfulness.
We believe having a place that allows you to disconnect and go inward, a place where you feel like you belong is more important than ever before. Fiercely protecting this has always been our goal — it’s why creating studio spaces where everyone is welcome has been so important to us.
We also believe that yoga and the communities that surround it have the power to change the world and that everyone deserves to live their healthiest, happiest and most fulfilled life.
EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND ACCESSIBILITY
At the heart of We Move Together is the mission to create opportunities for all people to practice yoga, together.
We believe there is power in community so we work with those within ours to extend our reach beyond our studios and create opportunities for those facing barriers to practice. We are currently looking for people and organizations to partner with in 2019 and beyond.
OFF THE MAT
We also believe that when we move together, both on and off the mat, we’re stronger.
With the support of our community, we fund people, projects, organizations, help with cause awareness, and offer use of our physical space for people to come together for important conversations and in the spirit of inspiring real change. If you need a location partner, please contact us through our form below.
As we head into 2019 and this program grows, we look forward to updating you on the specific people, organizations, and groups that we are partnering with to activate We Move Together.
To get involved, please tell us about your mission and cause below.
WHO WE WORK WITH
We gain inspiration and momentum by connecting with individuals and organizations already doing incredible work to create real change.
We work with the passionately curious, the change-makers, the challengers, the activists, the seekers, the guides, the enthusiastic and the genuine. It doesn’t matter to us if you’re powered by an organization (big or small) or the sweat of a single human working to do better.
What matters to us is that we work together to inspire conversations, practice listening, ignite passion, drive education and awareness and invite change around things that matter to our communities.
CONFIRMED 2019 PARTNERS INCLUDE
BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre
Downtown Eastside Women's Centre
Red Door Shelter, Toronto
Our approach to supporting access to yoga is by partnering with individuals as well as grass roots and hyper local organizations and the change-makers that power them. Support varies depending on the needs of the partner.
In the past, we've donated studio space, funded teacher wages for classes both inside and outside our studios, coordinated and funded teachers for outdoor events, donated yoga mats, gathered goods donations, facilitated group fundraising, offered by donation classes, donated a % of sales, funded event tickets, and shared cause messages with our community in the spirit of active listening and awareness.
We look forward to growing this part of this program in 2019 and beyond.
If your cause fits with the below, please reach out to us:
- inclusivity and access to yoga
- women’s health — and access to health services and support for all people

- at-risk, marginalized and/or under-resourced youth
We are currently looking for partners that align with the causes mentioned above. Please reach out using the form below.
We'll do our very best to get back to you in a timely way. We do get a high volume of requests and really take our time to understand each and every partnership opportunity.APPLY
