Last week after the Province-wide restrictions by Public Health were put in place, we removed heated yoga from our offerings and received confirmation from senior health officers that we could reopen.
The original order that stated spin classes, hot yoga and HIIT indoor group activity were to be temporarily suspended also stated that other activities could continue while updated guidelines were being developed.
Within the last 24 hours the BC Government’s website was unexpectedly updated. The order now directs all indoor group physical activities, including yoga and pilates, to temporarily suspend while these new guidelines are being developed.
We have always, and will always, take our direction from public health officials to ensure your safety remains our top priority. In anticipation that this will be addressed in the provincial update tomorrow, we are taking precautions to suspend our schedule effective immediately.
As soon as we receive new guidance, which we hope happens swiftly and with more clarity than we feel we’ve received to date, we will update our safety plan.
Our primary goal is to keep you safe and we are prepared to adjust these protocols with any new requirements as necessary.
We recognize that anytime we pause in-studio classes it affects you, and for that we are sorry. As we go digital-only for a little while, we’re building a schedule of virtual classes that we think you’ll love.
You can remain confident that during any temporary closures, we will always:
- Pause or extend your membership or class pack
- Offer you virtual options through YYOGA at Home; this library now includes over 500 titles and daily live streams to tune into.
- Be there to support your virtual practice in our private Facebook group
Thank you for your love and support.
Once again, onward together,
