Give wellness. Give art. Give back.

November 2nd, 2018

In Giving Holiday

We believe that collectively we are stronger.

We gain inspiration and momentum by connecting with individuals and organizations working to create real change.

This holiday, we've partnered with some amazing artists within the YYOGA community and two incredible organizations so when you gift wellness, you also give back.

FEATURED ART FROM THE YYOGA TEAM

We believe that creative expression is a form of wellness.

We teamed up with a few of our favorite artists from within our team to showcase their incredible work on the front of our gift cards. We hope you'll be inspired to get creative this holiday season and express yourself as well as follow along with them as they share their art!

YOUR GIFT ALSO GIVES BACK

This holiday, when you gift wellness, you also give back; 10% of all gift card proceeds between November 15 - January 14 will go directly to two incredible organizations that support our communities in Vancouver and Toronto:

Downtown Eastside Women's Centre (Vancouver)
The Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC) has served as a place of refuge, resource centre, and community hub for women since 1978. As one of the women-only spaces in the Downtown Eastside, DEWC operates a low-barrier drop-in centre and emergency night shelter, providing basic essentials and hot meals as well as a spectrum of support including housing assistance, skills development, victim services and advocacy. By connecting women to a continuum of care, DEWC builds capacity for empowerment and long-term positive change.

Red Door Shelter (Toronto)
The Red Door Family Shelter has been on the frontlines of delivering support services to homeless families and abused women and their children in Toronto and the GTA since 1982. Each year, they provide emergency housing and critical support services to over 500 families through 156 beds at our 2 sites in Toronto. More than 800 women and children in the city stay in an emergency shelter every night. At any given time, over 50% of their residents are children.

The Red Door helps families break the cycle of homeless in three fundamental ways: 1) by providing housing at their two shelters, 2) by providing support services for shelter residents and 3) by helping shelter residents to find a new home and supporting them as they transition to their new life. 95% of the families who they support through their transitional support and outreach program find and maintain permanent housing.
