We know that you, our YYoga community, loves reserving classes online!
Being able to plan your day, or even your week, makes life easier. Reserving classes can also help you commit to your practice when you’re feeling motivated, before your schedule gets cluttered with daily to-do’s!
Due to the popularity of our reservations, we thought we’d offer a quick refresher on how the reservation system works, to make sure you’re getting the most out of it.
Did you know:
- Reservations are available online only via yyoga.ca and not by phone or in person.
- Reservations can be made up to 6 days in advance, up to 30 minutes before a class starts
- If the reserve option is not available, it doesn’t mean the class is full! Only 50% of a class’ capacity is set aside for reservations - the rest is available for walk-ins on a first come, first served basis.
So what happens if you’ve reserved a class but can’t make it?
We get it, life happens. If your plans change, please make sure to cancel your reservation online, at least 30 minutes before a class starts. Although most of the community uses the reservation system as it was intended, there are many instances of reservations made “just in case” without ever cancelling, which can take spots from other guests wanting to practice!
Beginning in May 2017, we will be enforcing this reservation policy, which means if you are on a drop-in or class pass, we will no longer credit these classes back onto your account. As well, there may be potential future penalties for misuse of the reservation system. If you’ve passed the 30 minute mark, your class will now be deducted from your account whether or not you show up for it. It’s important that we honour our reservations to ensure that everyone has the best experience.
