Thanks to my sister, my journey into yoga began in 2000 in a very hot, very sweaty, and very smelly room. After 90 minutes, I was hooked! If you come to one of my Hot classes, you will definitely sweat. A lot. I also give everyone the opportunity to work to their own level and encourage them to listen to their bodies. You'll get that in my Kids and Yin classes too. I'm a "hands-on" instructor; I like to offer adjustments. So if I see someone who could use a little help with alignment or balance, I won't hesitate to give a hand! I want my students to realize that they have one of the most amazing environments to practice their yoga. And that no matter what kind of day they're having, or how they're feeling, they will always be happy that they came to yoga. Things always look better at the end of a nice long Savasana.
My journey into yoga began in January 2000 in a very hot, very sweaty, very, very smelly room, and after 90 minutes I was hooked! I have my wonderful sister to thank for taking me to my first yoga class. I thought I was going to be sick, maybe even pass out, and I think the room was spinning the whole time, but despite all that, I knew I was meant to teach. My amazing husband also deserves thanks for encouraging and supporting me on my journey. My beautiful daughter, who has been practicing yoga since she was three years old, inspires me to be the best person I can be, on and off the yoga mat. I love teaching yoga, and for the last eight years, I can say that I am grateful everyday for being able to share it with my family, my friends, my peers, and of course my students, because without all of you, I wouldn't be on this fantastic journey!
