My interest in yoga started twelve years ago when I took my first class at a local gym.  Over the years my life have taken me many places but when I come back to yoga I always feel at home.  My personal practice has woven in and out of the material of my life for the past decade but it became a reflection of my soul when I took my first teacher training in Hatha and Vinyasa flow yoga.  Since then I have gone on to take certifications in yin, restorative, Anusara and pre-natal yoga and zhen meditaion.  My classes are a balance of alignment principles which come from my history as a national synchronized swimmer and coach and the playful nature of creative physical expression.  When we challenge our body we learn to challenge our mind intensifying focus and improving our ability to receive life as it comes.  As an artist yoga has helped me to embrace myself and find my balance in constant change.  In my classes we work to find fluidity of breath, lightness in effort and joy in movement.  Follow your heart and the rest will come.
