I practice yoga to cultivate a deeper, lasting connection to myself in order to open and brighten my heart,  invigorate my physicality, soothe my nervous system and focus my mind. I work to offer this in my teaching.  I draw from 15 years of yoga practice and movement study in contemporary dance technique, Contact Improvisation and a performance career. I have spent significant time practicing in the traditions of Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar and Anusara. I teach a dynamic vinyasa flow class. I'm inspired by and grateful to the the Yogic, Ayurvedic and Buddhist systems of practice, and their graceful approach to the human condition. These approaches weave their way into my classes which build a strong foundation of alignment and body awareness. It is my hope that each student moves toward true embodiment in order to create new pathways of awareness. I am thankful for the opportunity to teach yoga, and I offer sincere gratitude to teachers that have taught and inspired me in my practice.
